La Ciucarina

In the center of Camagna Monferrato, in the UNESCO territory of the Infernot, La Ciucarina is a Cantoni stone house with a private panoramic terrace and an original infernot carved into the tuff. It extends over 170 sqm arranged vertically across multiple levels, like the traditional houses of the village, and is attached to other homes in the town.
The original structure has remained intact: red brick vaulted ceilings in the living room and first-floor bedroom, stone stairs, thick walls. Comfort is contemporary: three renovated bathrooms, a new kitchen, updated systems and finishes.
The living area is located on the main floor. The living room with fireplace is intimate and welcoming, featuring exposed stone, a red brick vaulted ceiling, an old wooden kneading table that recalls the history of the house, and a double sofa bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped: induction hob, oven, dishwasher, large refrigerator, coffee machine, and a complete set of dishes and accessories. It opens directly onto the terrace, furnished with a table for six and a parasol, overlooking the Monferrato hills and, on clear days, the Alpine arc.
Going up the stone stairs leads to the sleeping area.
On the first level there is an air-conditioned double bedroom with a red brick vaulted ceiling, a study with desk and balcony suitable for smart working or as a quiet room for a newborn, and a bathroom with a modern shower.
In the attic, among exposed beams, the second double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, air conditioning, and electric Velux windows with blackout blinds.
Going down to the lower level you access the laundry room with washing machine and dryer, the portico with a lounge sofa overlooking the private woods and vineyards, and the tuff cellar with a bar counter, a large convivial table, and the original infernot. It is the most distinctive space of the house, naturally cool all year round.
Upon request, it is possible to organize private tastings, traditional Monferrato cooking classes, dinners with a private chef in the cellar, and countryside trekking.
